Fridays from 9:15 to 11:15 AM.
This co-operative playgroup, for children from birth to kindergarten and their
parents or caregivers, gives children the chance to meet and play with other
young children from the community. This year Playgroup will be on Tuesday and
Friday mornings from 9:15 to 11:15. Parents and caregivers share the
responsibility for providing a snack and age-appropriate crafts. Fee: $ 35 a
year per family if attending once a week; $50 a year per family if twice a

This
after-school program begins in early September (Sept 7th, 2004). If

in the Community Centre.
Pilates classes are held at the Qualicum-Graham Park Community Centre. They focus on the fundamental elements of the Pilates approach, and the correct execution and form of Pilates floor exercises.
Tai Chi is a slow moving progression of specific exercises which can improve your coordination, posture and flexibility. The class will be taught by Chao, who also teaches Saturday morning Pilates at the Community Centre.

The 119th Scout group and the 19th
Scout group merged as of the beginning of September 2002. The name of the
combined group is 19th Nepean. Briargreen Public School is the venue
for the Beavers and Cubs.
For boys and
girls ages 5 to 7. This program runs on Thursdays, from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, at Briargreen Public School Gym, 19
Parkfield Crescent.

Austin Sweezey (829-1323) is also the Acting Group Commissioner for the 19th Nepean Scouts. He is the primary contact for the Scouts Canada programs this year. The scout group is actively searching for someone to look after the Group Commissioner role. Interested persons should contact Austin.

For those who
missed the general registration in May, the fall registration for Cubs,
Beavers, and Scouts with the 19th Nepean Scout Group for the session September
2004-May 2005 will be held: Thursday September 9/04 7 - 8 PM at the QGP
Community Centre
Programs are expected to begin during the week of September 20th.
Notices of the first meetings will be posted on the signboards if there are
spaces remaining for more members to join.

local Scouting group is looking for more adults to help with youth programs and
other functions. We pay for the training, and your volunteering helps your
community. Do you like teaching/mentoring kids, outdoor activities,
fundraising? Do you have skills in basic bookkeeping, event planning, or other
